Russian Hill Residence
This Russian Hill house was built in 1957 and is located near the scenic twisty section of Lombard Street.
Latching onto the owner’s preferences for a clean, white, modern home and a love of marble and light woods, JTA turned this vertical home into a sleek yet family friendly oasis for the couple and their two school-aged boys.
The verticality of the house is an important design element, informing the experience of the home. A procession is created with the curved stairs linking an early intimate garden view at the foyer to the third floor living spaces, where the openness of the plan and the views are revealed, with Bay Bridge views at the front and the towering Redwood garden at the back.
